About:
Dr. Tauqeer Akbar holds nearly 30 years of cardiac surgery experience. He spent 20 years practicing cardiac surgery in the UK and Ireland. To date, he has performed more than 10,000 surgeries including cardiac, vascular, thoracic and congenital cardiac surgeries ranging from arterial switch operation in new born to cardiac transplantation.
He is one of very few doctors with specialisation in more than one field. Apart from holding FRCS(C-Th), one of the most prestigious qualification in the field of cardiac surgery in the world, he also holds a fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and Intensive Care as well as a Diploma in Management DMMD from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
